Establishment of an insurance commission in Gambia

The Insurance Association of Gambia (IAG) plans to establish an independent entity in charge of supervising, regulating and coordinating the sector.

A proposal in this regard will be soon submitted to the government. Right now, it is the Central Bank which exercises oversight over the insurance business.
