Majed Smairat becomes new GAIF President

Majed Smairat has been appointed President of the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF), succeeding Sayyid Nassir Salim Al Busaidi.

The appointment was announced during the GAIF’s 35th General Conference, held in Jordan from 4 to 7 October 2026.

Smairat also serves as Chairman of the Jordanian Insurance Federation (JIF) and CEO of the Middle East Insurance Company (MEICO).
