Oil companies are considering a pool of insurance

Following the catastrophe triggered by Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, oil and gas companies operating in Nigeria are considering the idea of an insurance pool that can soften the financial consequences of a similar claim. According to Munich Re, a pool with a capacity of 20 billion USD would be feasible.
