- Required qualifications :
- Applicants should be holders of a Bachelor degree in business insurance, marketing or related fields. The person(s) should be holders of an MBA or a Masters in a related field of expertise;They should be holders of an advanced diploma in insurance or its equivalent and hold membership in recognized insurance professional bodies.
- They shoud have 12 years of relevant experience,eight of which should have been at senior management level gained in a reputable organization, preferably in insurance, reinsurance of finance
- Excellent interpersonal, management and communication skills;
- Excellent organization skills and highly confidential;
- Team player with impeccable integrity;
- Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Job description :
- Ensuring that all legal and statutory regulatory requirements are complied with;
- Developing business strategies and operational budgets for growth and profitability:
- Managing reinsurance business in the region and providing technical support and advice on strategic directions to management and the board of directions;
- Development of strategic marketing plans in line with corporation's mandate and board's expectations;
- Sourcing of facultative and treaty reinsurance to support the corporation's growth marketing strategies;
- Preparation and management of marketing activities and budgets for the markets in the region;
- Planning for and developing staff in the regional office;
- Managing the office for optimal operational perfomance;
- Providing management and the board with information on operational aspects of the office;
- Liasing with the general manager (in charge of reinsurance operations), to ensure a participatory approach to the needs of the corporation's clients and the business mandate;
- Management of statistical and actuarial information and market intelligence reports;
- Dealing with all aspects of allocated markets including but not limited to premiums, claims, cash-calls, commutations, recoveries and debts collection processes;
